Since its premiere in 2013, Disney’s Frozen has gone on to become an international smash hit and currently ranks as the fifth highest-grossing film of all time, earning over $1 billion at the box office. In addition to nabbing multiple Oscars, the animated flick scored a pair of Grammy awards for its equally blockbuster soundtrack, which spawned the hit song “Let It Go”. Disney will look to capitalize on that movie’s success, today announcing plans for a sequel.
The company revealed the news during its annual shareholders meeting in San Francisco this afternoon. Original Frozen directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are set to return for the sequel, which is being developed for Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The announcement comes just days after Disney unveiled its plans for a live-action version of Dumbo directed by Tim Burton.
