Tom DeLonge announces solo album To The Stars … Demos, Odds and Ends

Former Blink-182 member to release LP of Blink-182 demos

Tom DeLonge

Once the dust had settled and he realized he was indeed no longer a member of Blink-182, Tom DeLonge made a promise on Twitter of new music from his “personal stash.” Today, he’s made good with the announcement of a new solo album, To the Stars … Demos, Odds and Ends.

The album takes its name from DeLonge’s recently launched multimedia company. Despite only recently parting ways with his former band and having to dodge government agencies over his knowledge of extraterrestrials, he already has pre-orders for the album up on his website. Packages include T-shirts, artwork, and gold-and-yellow splattered vinyl.

Those who opt for the pre-order will begin receiving new music on March 9th, according to the site. The tracklist is expected on March 16th, with more music revealed on March 23rd and April 6th. The album itself is due out April 21st.

Below, watch a trailer for the album, which features brief snippets of four tracks.

In other DeLonge news, the musician is prepping for the release of his first novel, Poet Anderson, based on the short film he released late last year. He recently turned in the manuscript, co-written by Suzanne Young (The Program series), and shared a snippet with fans. The book is expected to be available in May, and you can read the (in need of an editor) preview below.
