Flying Lotus continued his BBC Radio 1 monthly residency on Thursday evening, but this time around, he brought along a special guest. The producer sat down with Kendrick Lamar, whose recent album, To Pimp a Butterfly, he called “a future classic.” (This probably has nothing to do with the fact that FlyLo produced album track “Wesley’s Theory”.)

The discussion ranged from the current state of hip-hop, to Kendrick’s recurring dreams, to his advice for young creatives. “Even if you don’t do music,” Kendrick said, “follow your heart, because it leads you into directions that you may not believe are possible.”

Update: At the end of the broadcast, FlyLo played a previously unreleased collaboration with Kendrick titled “Eyes Above”. Listen below.
