Jack White will perform spontaneous acoustic concerts in five states, and tickets are only $3.00

    For a better part of a year now, Jack White has been touring the globe in support of his sophomore solo album Lazaretto, delivering memorable set after memorable set. It goes without saying, but White has earned himself a well-deserved break and, as announced today, he intends to do just that. According to a press release, White will be “taking a break from performing live for a long period of time.”

    However, before White pulls off onto Exit 209B and heads back to Nashville, he’ll play acoustic shows in the five US states he has yet to visit on this current tour. White’s first-ever all-acoustic concerts, he’ll be accompanied by quartet featuring Fats Kaplin, Lillie Mae Rische, and Dominic Davis, who will be amplified only by ribbon microphones.

    Taking a page from Prince, the location of each performance will remain unannounced until the day of. What’s more, tickets will only cost $3.00 and be sold on a first come, first served basis on the day of each show.

    The acoustic tour will begin following White’s weekend two headlining performance at Coachella, which takes place this Saturday. Fans are advised to stay tuned to Third Man Records’ Twitter account for show announcements.
