This year during South by Southwest, Consequence of Sound teamed with Jukely and Tito’s Handmade Vodka to bring Off the Avenue to Austin. We invited nearly 30 bands to visit our special studio setup and film exclusive sessions.
Past episodes have featured Yumi Zouma, Milo Greene, and Turbo Fruits, and now we’re proud to present a session from San Francisco blues rockers The Stone Foxes. The band first delivers a performance of their track “Cold Like a Killer”, one of the singles from their ongoing First Friday series, in which they’re releasing a song a month for a year leading up to the release of their new album Twelve Spells. They also serve up a cover of Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman”, and the band’s energy makes it easy to see why they were one of our favorite acts of SXSW.
Check out the clips below. Also, be sure to check out our past Off the Avenue sessions, and stay tuned for all of our SXSW sessions with The Zombies, The Vaccines, Mew, Diarrhea Planet, The Districts, Kevin Devine, Son Lux, San Fermin, Kopecky, Rubblebucket, Krill, Torres, and many more.
