Earlier this month, Rihanna debuted her new video for “American Oxygen” on TIDAL. Now, the clip is available to watch for all non-subscribers.
Directed by Darren Craig, it features RiRi singing alongside footage of pivotal political and cultural moments in American history (the death of Martin Luther King Jr.; Ferguson protests; civil rights marches; various scenes of war and police brutality). It’s a gripping visual that seems to pose the question: How far are we willing to go to protect this so-called Land of Opportunity? Check it out below.
Rihanna’s as-yet-untitled eighth LP, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s Unapologetic, is expected later this year. It will also feature her Kanye and Paul McCartney collaboration “FourFiveSeconds” as well as “Bitch Better Have My Money”.
