Disney has confirmed that a sequel to 2010’s Tron: Legacy is officially in the works. Rumors popped up in early March that the studio was aiming for a fall 2015 shoot in Vancouver. Now, it’s been officially revealed that stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund will once again team up with director Joseph Kosinski for the film. Game on.

Kosinski directed the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi cult classic Tron, which saw Jeff Bridges play Kevin Flynn, a genius software engineer and hacker who wound up trapped in a virtual world known as the Grid. Legacy introduced Flynn’s son, Sam (Hedlund), as he followed his father into the system, where he teamed up with an algorithm called Quorra (Wilde) to take down the Grid’s ruling program, CLU (also Bridges). There’s no word yet if Bridges will return in any capacity for this new film.

Legacy grossed $400 million worldwide in 2010, and the various parties involved have been trying to boot up a sequel ever since. As previously rumored, Tron 3 is expected to finally begin shooting this fall.
