Next month, Beck will embark on a new leg of US tour dates, which include a co-headlining show with Willie Nelson and a festival gig at Boston Calling. Last night, however, the Grammy Award-winning musician got a chance to warm up his chops in a much more intimate setting.

Beck served as musical guest on the Late Late Show with James Corden. The whole episode was filmed at a stranger’s house, and that included Beck’s performance of “Country Down”. As luck would have it, the residents of the house — Tommy, Jessica, and Luke — were big fans of the singer-songwriter. Hell, they even had a poster of him hanging up on their wall.

Beck, along with Jeff Goldbum and Reggie Watts, also participated in a game of Hide-and-Seek.

Beck also sat down (on Tommy’s couch) for a short interview. He discussed his Grammy victory and his upcoming show with The Strokes. The whole time, Tommy was just losing his shit.
