On May 19th, CoSigned singer-songwriter Beth Jeans Houghton will return with a new album, Welcome Back to Milk, through Mute Records. The 12-track effort follows 2012’s Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose and marks her debut release under her new moniker Du Blonde moniker. In anticipation, she’s revealed an LP cut called “The Hunter”.

Whereas previous offering “Black Flag” saw Houghton march triumphantly while commanding an army of emphatic guitars, this soaring ballad uncovers a more vulnerable side to the UK artist. “It was one of those songs that just kind of pours out, it wasn’t hard to write,” she said of the track in a press release. “I was listening to a lot of Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin at the time and I was really into their way of putting a lot of honesty and emotion into their songs.”
