The Who’s 50th anniversary farewell tour touched down in Chicago on Wednesday night with a concert at the Allstate Arena. Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder made a surprise appearance during the set, joining Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend for a performance of “The Real Me”. Watch fan-shot footage below.
Vedder and Townshend will reconnect tomorrow night for a much more intimate concert at Chicago’s Rosemont Theatre. “Celebrating The Who” is a one-night only benefit gig for Townshend and Daltrey’s charity organization Teen Cancer America, which supports programs for teenagers with cancer through the University of Chicago Medicine.
