Heather Woods Broderick has logged quite a bit of time performing and recording alongside artists like Sharon Van Etten, Efterlang, and Laura Gibson. On July 10th, however, the singer-songwriter will be in the spotlight with the release of her new album, Glider. Broderick’s folk/indie rock stylings aren’t dramatically different from those of her colleagues; still, she easily holds her own as a compelling storyteller. Such is the case on new song “Wyoming”.

A press release notes that the track is “set in the metaphorical landscapes of Wyoming” and “chronicles past and present instances in the lives of two would-be lovers.” It’s a beautiful yet haunting vision that Broderick conjures, especially with her voice. At times, it’s like lace blowing in the wind, rising and falling with both grace and a sense of brokenness. Listen in below via its dreamy music video.

Glider is due out on July 10th through Western Vinyl. For more of the album, check out “A Call for Distance”.
