Ever find yourself packed and ready to go to that festival, cool threads and all, only to discover … you’ve got no ride? Thanks to a new partnership between Uber and Live Nation, traveling to and from said music event this festival season will now be as simple as ordering Seamless from your phone.
As Festival Snobs notes, the collaborative project will see each participating festival equipped with designated drop-off and pick-up locations for Uber riders. No longer will you need to fight tooth and nail for the rare, unicorn-like taxi. (And who knows, perhaps deadmau5 will be your personal chauffeur?) Within Live Nation’s app, another new feature will provide Uber drivers with the exact festival address so there’s no confusion.
Russell Wallach, President of Live Nation Media & Sponsorships, spoke about the venture, saying, “Fans want the journey to and from a concert to be as smooth as possible. Uber offers a convenient alternative to driving for riders to any event, and we are thrilled about the experience this brings for all of our fans.”
Uber-provided transportation will be available at a total of 20 festivals this year, including Sasquatch!, HARD Summer Music Festival, Voodoo Music & Arts Experience, and Electric Daisy Carnival. Find the full listing below.
