The Maze Runner surprised many last summer by not only being a well-done Young Adult adaptation, but a generally solid action film. Today, 20th Century Fox revealed the first trailer to the movie’s upcoming sequel, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. If you haven’t seen the first film and plan to, you may want to avoid watching, as the preview obviously spoils some of the previous entry’s ending. Otherwise, take a look below:
Starring Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Barry Pepper, Lili Taylor, and Patricia Clarkson, The Scorch Trials sees “Thomas (O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.”
The movie is due out September 18th.
