This week marks the release of Jamie xx’s excellent solo debut, the “phenomenally poised and universally approachable” In Colour. To help promote the record, the UK producer swung by French TV show Le Grand Journal to perform “Loud Places”, his blissful collaboration with fellow xx bandmate Romy Madley-Croft. The appearance ended up turning into something of a mini reunion for The xx, as bassist Oliver Sim also joined in on the choir-assisted affair. Perhaps now that In Colour is out, The xx can work on the follow-up to 2012’s Coexist?
