This July, Titus Andronicus will make their mighty return with a 93-minute, 29-track rock opera called The Most Lamentable Tragedy. In anticipation, they’ve released a new mixtape.

Titus Andronicus Mixtape Volume 2A comes with the multi-layered subtitle, Sorry About the Delay, at once a spin on Lil Wayne’s own mixtape series, a double entendre about the band’s love for effects pedals, and a sincere apology for the three-year gap between LPs. The new tape features demos and outtakes, as well as fresh listens to Most Lamentable Tragedy tracks “Stranded (On My Own)” (previously released last year on a 7-inch) and “Come On, Siobhan”. Also included amongst the 21 tracks (there is no track 16) are various early versions of album singles “Dimed Out” and “Fatal Flaw”.

Stream it in full below, and download it here.

Titus Andronicus Mixtape Volume 2A follows Vol. 1, which was released prior to the band’s previous studio album, 2012’s Local BusinessThe Most Lamentable Tragedy hits stores on July 28th through Merge Records.
