Lifetime isn’t good for just unauthorized biopics about our favorite 90s television shows. On June 20th, the network will premiere A Deadly Adoption, a made-for-TV movie starring A-list actors Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. There’s been questions regarding the veracity of the project, especially after Ferrell threatened to pull the plug after its mere existence was leaked to the press. However, last week a Hollywood billboard confirmed the film’s impending release. Now, Lifetime has shared a brief teaser trailer. Update: Lifetime has unveiled a second, extended trailer, which you can also see below.
The plot follows a well-to-do couple (Ferrell and Wiig) who take in a pregnant woman (played by Jessica Lowndes of 90210 fame) in the hopes of eventually adopting the child. As often the case in Lifetime movies, things take a dangerous turn when the situation spirals out of control.
