Are you at work? E-mail yourself the link to this story and watch the following trailer later. That’s likely going to be the case  going forward for anything related to Gaspar Noé’s upcoming film, Love. The highly anticipated follow-up to 2009’s Enter the Void is a provocative new drama that has been absolutely transparent about capitalizing on its intoxicating 3D sex scenes. The graphic posters alone should sell you on that idea.

So, what’s it all about? Well, it’s not just some stylized porno, although its synopsis certainly reads like one: An American male visits Paris, falls in love, experiments with drugs, and partakes in a threesome. Judging from the Argentinian director’s critically acclaimed oeuvre — specifically, 2002’s disturbing and unforgettable Irreversible — there’s more than what meets the eye for sure.

Love premiered back in May at the Cannes Film Festival, eliciting a number of polarizing reactions. Upon its debut, Alchemy picked up the U.S. distribution rights, though there has not been a formal release date announced. However, the film will premiere in France fairly soon on July 15th.
