Air’s Nicolas Godin and Phoenix’s Thomas Mars share new song “Widerstehe doch der Sünde” and video — watch

Taken from Godin's forthcoming solo debut, Contrepoint

On September 18th, Air’s own Nicolas Godin will release his Bach-inspired solo debut, Contrepoint, through Because Music. Last month, we heard the bleep-happy opening track, “Orca”. Today, he’s unveiled “Widerstehe doch der Sünde”.

Dreamy and sweeping, the cut features none other than Phoenix’s Thomas Mars singing in German under his Gordon Tracks alter ego. It serves as the first material from the Gordon Tracks persona in at least a decade; he and Godin previously joined forces on “Playground Love”, off Air’s 2000 soundtrack to The Virgin Suicides.

Check out “Widerstehe doch der Sünde” below via its black-and-white, Sacred Egg-directed clip.
