Born Ruffians are gearing up to release their fourth studio album, RUFF, on October 2nd via Yep Roc. The follow-up to 2013’s Birthmarks spans 10 tracks and sees the band teasing out more of its spastic brand of indie rock, with frontman Luke Lalonde channeling the “circuitous motion of tidal mood swings.”

Our first preview of RUFF comes with lead single “We Made It”, a manic number with vocals and riffs that pop and fizzle at a moment’s notice like fireworks on the fritz. The jumpy nature of the song seemingly echoes the unpredictability of life, as some of the lyrics read: “Well that’s life, it kind of rolls by and happens to you, until it’s not.” Listen in below.

Find the full tracklist below (full of gem titles like “When Things Get Pointless I Roll Away” and “Fuck Feelings”), followed by the band’s newly announced world tour.
