Eminem’s video for “Phenomenal” is an action flick starring John Malkovich & Dr. Dre — watch

From the soundtrack to the Jake Gyllenhaal boxing flick Southpaw

Eminem’s new track, “Phenomenal”, may have been recorded for director Antoine Fuqua’s boxing film, Southpaw, but the video for the track is another movie entirely. Think of it as a mix between Scarlett Johansson’s Lucy and Jackie Chan’s Who Am I?. Em wakes up in a hospital bed with no memory of who he is or why he can kick so much ass. He fights his way into the streets, but is left still on the run from a foe he doesn’t even know. Along the way, he comes face to face with John Malkovich and, of course, Dr. Dre. It may be stuffed with every action flick cliché ever, but the seven-minute clip is still a heck of a ride. Check it out below.
