Mac DeMarco plays it cool on new song “No Other Heart” — listen

The follow-up to last year's Salad Days is due out in less than three weeks

Mac DeMarco’s new “mini album”, Another One, is slated to drop in the next few weeks. Prior to its release, the Canadian singer-songwriter has given fans a handful of previews: “The Way You’d Love Her”, “I’ve Been Waiting For Her”, and the title track.

Today, DeMarco has taken to Annie Mac’s Hot Water Bottle program on BBC Radio 1 to debut another song. Like much of the jizz jazzer’s repertoire, the ’70s-leaning “No Other Heart” plays it cool with twangy, relaxed riffs and an overall atmospheric haze that’ll make you think time’s standing still (or at the very least, moving at a slug’s pace). Listen below.

Another One, which follows last year’s Salad Days, is due out on August 7th via Captured Tracks. In support, DeMarco will tour North America this fall.

Another One Tracklist:
01. The Way You’d Love Her
02. Another One
03. No Other Heart
04. Just To Put Me Down
05. A Heart Like Hers
06. I’ve Been Waiting For Her
07. Without Me
08. My House by the Water
