After spending two years showing up on other artists’ tracks in a supporting role, Thundercat recently released his “surprise” mini-album, The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam. Now, he’s also getting ready for another solo adventure with a string of headlining tour dates. Following a series of August festivals including Pickathon and Brooklyn’s Afropunk, Thundercat will head out on the tour proper beginning in mid-September.
