For over a year now, Comedy Bang Bang’s Scott Aukerman and actor Adam Scott have spent hours on end talking about U2 for their hit Earwolf podcast U Talkin’ U2 To Me. (To be fair, they’ve also talked plenty about Turtle from Entourage, movies, financing, and Staind’s Break the Cycle.) Now, some 22 episodes later, the two mega fans who love chatting about good rock ‘n’ roll, uh, music with everyone from Todd Glass to Jimmy Pardo have landed the biggest guest of all — U2.
Yes, Bonobos, Adam Clay-two-thousand-pounds, Larry Mullen Sr.’s son, and Thedge all dedicated two hours of their own lives to the Scotts’ madness. Now, this shouldn’t exactly be a surprise to diehard listeners; after all, they met the boys backstage during the band’s recent run through Los Angeles, California. Regardless, this is a big win for the podcast and a special, special episode that should change everything going forward. And to think, this all started because they wanted fucking T-shirts.
Below, revisit U2’s video for “The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)”.
