This weekend’s OVO Fest ended in tragedy as two people were shot and killed during an early morning afterparty in Toronto. Three others were critically injured.
The incident took place around 3:30 am outside the Toronto nightclub Muzik, where the “the official OVO fest after-party” was being held. Drake and several other notable guests were said to be in attendance.
According to Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen, “What occurred originally in the bar area had spilled out into the streets so south and north of this area we do have three separate crimes scenes.”
“At this point we do know for certain that one or two [shootings] were in the nightclub and we believe the others were outside of that area,” Bergen added. “This is all unfolding now and we’re doing our investigation.”
Police say the victims were in their 20s and 30s, but no additional details are known.
