III Points Music Festival is much more than a typical music festival. Described as a “living installation,” the Miami-based event spotlights local artists, vendors, creatives, and thinkers alongside both national and international musical acts. This October 9th – 11th, III Points is celebrating their third anniversary, and they’re making sure it’s a weekend to remember.
Nicolas Jaar will be delivering a three-hour headlining DJ set, a fitting celebration of III’s big three. Also headlining are Run the Jewels, Panda Bear, and Ghostface Killah and MF DOOM, who will preview their forthcoming DOOMSTARKS project with a special performance. PR for the festival explains that Doom and Ghostface will be “transported Star Trek-style directly on the III Points Festival stage” to offer “a one-of-a-kind, interactive performance, where DOOM will appear from the other side of time, on a live screen.”
Also tapped to perform are King Krule, Warpaint, The Martinez Brothers, Toro Y Moi, Bonobo (DJ set), AlunaGeorge, Shlohmo, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (DJ set), Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Surfer Blood, Big Data, Chrome Sparks (DJ set), Psychic Mirrors, and Astronauts, ETC.
