It’s hard out there for new festivals coming into the market. Since no one knows what you look like yet, you have to come with a pretty impressive lineup for people to take notice. Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival will launch their inaugural event this September 26th and 27th, and they bring with them a bill that certainly piques a lot of interest.

Set on the 230-acre The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee, the festival certainly seems to have the beautiful location checked and ready. As for the lineup, how’s Wilco, Weezer, and Willie Nelson for first year headliners? Not enough? Let’s toss in recent addition Steven freakin’ Tyler of Aerosmith.

And that’s just the top four. Filling out the bill are The Decemberists, Sheryl Crow, Cage the Elephant, Band of Horses, Jimmy Cliff, Iron and Wine, Dawes, Dr. John, Neko Case, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires, Joe Pug, The Lone Bellow, Lucius, and more. Plus, the festival promises “cranked down” special performances where many bands will go acoustic for part of the set, in addition to “Pilgri-mashups” of unique onstage collaborations.
