Universal Pictures has released a new full-length trailer for Aaron Sorkin’s upcoming biopic Steve Jobs. While the first trailer focused heavily on the intensity of the Apple founder himself, this latest look establishes the arch of the film’s story. It follows Michael Fassbender’s Jobs as he makes his first computer pitch, to being fired from the company he built, to his triumphant return. Check it out below.
In related news, Michael Stuhlbarg, who plays original Apple team member Andy Hertzfeld, recently revealed director Danny Boyle’s unique rehearsal and filming process. “Aaron Sorkin wrote it very much like a three-act play, and each act was the launch of a new product,” Stuhlbarg told Collider. So we rehearsed each act for two weeks and then we shot for two weeks; then we rehearsed for two weeks and shot for two weeks; then we rehearsed for two weeks and then we shot for two weeks.”
He continued, “And that was amazing because by the time we were ready to shoot, we were really, really ready, and it brought us all together in an extraordinary way. Also, it kind of gave us something in the telling of the story that you don’t often get, which is a sense of momentum of what a story is telling you… It was just unlike anything I’ve ever done before.”
