Glastonbury indie pop outfit Dive In have high ambitions. Frontman Matthew Guttridge recently told NME that he intends make Dive In the “best band in the world,” which might explain his prolific output. Earlier this year, Dive In released their debut EP, Eighteen, but they’re not waiting for the dust to settle. Now the band is preparing to release their second EP, A Change In The Weather, out November 9th via Vagrant/Good Soldier. Ahead of the release, the EP’s title track is streaming below.

“The song is anchored in the idea of hope and coming out of a darker place,” Guttridge tell Consequence Of Sound. “We’ve all found ourselves in rut; be it a creative, more personal – this song celebrates the moment in which something happens / clicks and you know you’re back on course.”

The fiery song feels like a victory march for the group as they move ahead. Each synthesizer squeal and bass chug feels vivacious and fully ignited. Guttridge’s doubled vocals weave through this intricate mold of pop and excess, reveling in the excitement of it all. Being the best band in the world takes a lot of energy and Dive In seems to have that down pact.
