As you’ve no doubt heard by now, today brought the release of Ryan Adams’ full covers album of Taylor Swift’s 1989. Not one to be left out, Father John Misty’s J. Tillman has now offered his own recording of the 1989 track “Black Space”.

Tillman attributes the track to the “classic Ryan Adams album 1989” and also sings it in the style of The Velvet Underground. (Adams previously said his version of 1989 was done in the style of The Smiths and Bruce Springsteen.)

Update – Monday, September 21st at 4:40 p.m.: He’s also covered “Welcome to New York”.
