The origins of Taken bad ass Bryan Mills will be told in a new prequel series coming to NBC.
According to Deadline, the network has green-lit a straight-to-series order from Luc Besson, the French director behind the 2008 action thriller and subsequent two sequels starring Liam Neeson as the former CIA operative.
The TV series will follow a young Bryan Mills, specifically focusing on how he acquired the particular set of skills later used to save his kidnapped daughter. Deadline reports that Mills’ TV character will have no wife or kids. Additionally, “the series will bend time as it will be set in modern day, not decades in the past.”
