We’re a little over a month away from Halloween, but already the scares are coming. Peter Murphy, the straggly and terrifying goth rock pioneer behind English outfit Bauhaus, will star in the psychological horror film, BlackGloveKiller.
Directed and written by Canadian filmmaker Chris Alexander (Blood of Irina, Female Werewolf), the film tells the story of a beautiful female predator named Miranda who stalks and kills her prey at night. As opposed to the day, when we’re all eating lunch.
Alexander describes the film as “an erotic, violent fever dream driven by mood, music and atmosphere,” one that “really aims to be a horror film like no other horror film, one that nods to its influence but is still distinctly the product of my own imagination.” Seems legit.
Murphy won’t be the only musician on set, either, as equally horrific Skinny Puppy vocalist Nivek Ogre will also star. Hopefully, this casting leads to one hell of an industrial soundtrack because I’m starting to really get tired of listening to The Crow.
