Sexwitch is the new collaborative project from Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes, English indie-psych outfit TOY and producer Dan Carey. Their self-titled debut, September 25th via Echo/BMG, contains six covers psych and folk songs of the 1970s from around the world.
Following “Helelyos”, Sexwitch has shared another such track in the form of “Ha Howa Ha Howa”. Originally by Moroccan artist Cheikha Hadda Ouakki, Khan’s version utilizes hypnotic rhythms and the drone of water-logged synths as the wave on which her psychedelic vocalizations ride as she repeats, “He addicted me/ He addicted me/ And I addicted him/ And I addicted him.” Listen in below.
