Today, John Carpenter’s Lost Themes Remixed album hits shelves via Sacred Bones. The companion piece to the iconic composer’s debut solo album, Lost Themes, features eight reworks by the likes of Blanck Mass, JG Thirwell, and Silent Servant, among others.

Following Prurient’s macabre edit of “Purgatory” last month, Zola Jesus has shared her take on “Night”, which includes additional contributions from longtime collaborator/producer Dean Hurley. “The opportunity to lend an interpretation of John Carpenter’s music is beyond surreal and humbling,” Zola said in a press release. Hurley added his sentiments, saying, “John Carpenter is an absolute master of mood and has such an eloquent and powerful ‘less is more’ quality to his music.” Listen in below.
