In the past, Adele has been incredibly open about her crippling stage fright, which has caused her to turn down opportunities to play major music venues and festivals. Yet with 25 officially the fastest-selling album in music history, the pop singer seems determined to take the album out on the road. Today, she announced a European tour, her first such outing in five years.

In related news, Glastonbury booker Martin Elbourne has confirmed that the festival has indeed offered Adele a headlining slot at this year’s festival. “There’s lots of talk about Adele and it’s in there in the mix. Adele is in a situation in her career where frankly she can do whatever the hell she likes. Hopefully it will happen and it still needs to be confirmed. She’s not into festivals but obviously, every promoter in the world wants to get her so fingers crossed, we are hoping it’s going to happen.” Glastonbury takes place June 22nd – 26th in Pilton, UK.
