Alan Arkin was hospitalized earlier this week after suffering a minor stroke, according to PEOPLE. The 81-year-old actor has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

“He’s actually laughing today,” a representative for Arkin told PEOPLE. “He’s at home, he’s fine. It was a mini-stroke, there’s nothing wrong.”

Arkin, who’s been nominated for Oscars four times, won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2007 for his role in Little Miss Sunshine. He’s next set to appear in Going in Style alongside Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Joey King. The comedy will hit theaters next spring.
