Joey Bada$$ and G Herbo team up on “Lord Knows” — listen

Joey Bada$$ has had a prolific year, what with the release of his excellent full-length debut, B4.Da.$$, as well as collaborations with Action Bronson and Glass Animals. G Herbo, fka Lil Herb, too, is ending 2015 on a strong note with last month’s Ballin Like I’m Kobe mixtape. Today, both MCs combine their prowess on “Lord Knows” (and no, it’s not a Drizzy cover).

Though Joey Bada$$ and G Herbo boast different rhyming styles, they gel together surprisingly well here. Much credit should go to Atlanta producer extraordinaire Metro Boomin, who recently worked on What a Time to Be Alive, a mixtape that also saw two contrasting rappers — Drake and Future — able to coexist and capitalize on each other’s strengths.
