With the Cubs’ 2015 season officially a wrap, Eddie Vedder exited the locker room, boarded a plane, and headed south to join his Pearl Jam brethren in South America for their latest tour. The band kicked things off Wednesday night in Santiago, Chile at Estadio Nacional.

Their career-spanning 29-song set contained little in the way of surprises, consisting of greatest hits and covers of Pink Floyd and Neil Young that have become a staple of their live show. However, there were still plenty of highlights, perhaps none bigger than the band’s truly surreal live rendition of John Lennon’s “Imagine”. As depicted in the fan-shot footage below, the entire stadium went dark prompting concert-goers to hold up everything from candles to lighters to cellphones.
