Like many of us this past week, Ra Ra Riot carefully curated a New Year’s Eve playlist featuring a host of fun, favorite cuts. (Who can argue with a mix that starts off with “Drunk in Love” and “Dancing On My Own”?) The 35-track collection also served another purpose: celebrating the release of the indie rockers’ latest single “Absolutely”.
The fresh offering, which follows November’s Rostam Batmanglij-produced “Water”, is a synthpop whirlwind that asks us to seize 2016 without hesitation. “It’s the year of absolutely being … absolutely crushing … absolutely loving,” declares frontman Wes Miles.

“Absolutely” is off Ra Ra Riot’s forthcoming album, Need Your Light, due out February 19th through Barsuk Records. In support, the band will tour the US this spring; find the full itinerary below.
