In December, Sunn O))) put out Kannon, their seventh studio album and “arguably the drone metal outfit’s best composition to date,” according to our own Jon Hadusek. Today, the group has announced a spring tour to further promote the LP.

Set to kick off in mid-March, the outing includes a few dates in Australia followed by a longer run throughout the US. Among the stateside cities Sunn O))) will grace: Nashville, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Austin. Appearances at LEVITATION, Big Ears Fest, and Moogfest have also been confirmed. Update – Friday, February 19th at 11:30 a.m. CT: Sunn O))) have announced several more US tour dates.
