Next month, Velvet Underground founding member John Cale will dust off the band’s 1967 opus, The Velvet Underground & Nico, with a rare full performance of the album. The one-night only event is set to take place on April 3rd at Philharmonie de Paris.
Today, Cale announced a star-studded lineup of guests set to join him on stage, including Animal Collective (whose new album Painting With he contributed to), Pete Doherty and Carl Barât of The Libertines, and Mark Lanegan. Lou Doillon, Etienne Daho, and Lemon Jelly’s Nick Franglen are also expected to participate in the night’s festivities.
