Seth Rogen has signed on to produce a forthcoming live action film based on the popular children’s book series Where’s Waldo?. The movie, which is being developed at MGM, has been in the works for some time now, but suffered a number of delays at other studios.

As The Tracking Board reports (via Yahoo! Movies), Rogen will be joined by fellow Grey Point Pictures producer Evan Goldberg; together, they’ve collaborated on Superbad, Pineapple Express, and The Interview. The Waldo character, a bespectacled adventurer often dressed in a red and white striped shirt, has not yet been cast.

Most recently, Todd Berger had been tapped to provide the script. He’s best known for penning the 2012 David Cross-starring black comedy It’s a Disaster and 2011’s animated flick Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Masters, which featured Rogen. Early iterations of the script involved Waldo traveling back in time to find Wilma, his crush.
