The 2016 edition of Canada’s Squamish Valley Music Festival has been canceled.
Organizers did not provide a reason reason, saying in a statement, “We have made the extremely difficult decision to not proceed with the 2016 festival, due to take place in August. This decision was not made lightly and we sincerely apologize to all the people this decision affects: the fans, artists, industry partners, corporate partners, suppliers and all of our supporters within the community of Squamish.”
Launched in 2010, Squamish quickly emerged as one of Canada’s largest festivals. Eminem, Arcade Fire, and Arctic Monkeys headlined the festival in 2014, while last year’s edition boasted Mumford and Sons, Drake, and Sam Smith.
