Australia’s Splendour in the Grass has revealed its 2016 lineup, and it’s one of those instances when the word “epic” is used without hyperbole. It’s also one of those instances when going further into credit card debt doesn’t seem like such a bad idea (A roundtrip flight from New York to Brisbane will currently cost you $1250 on Kayak).
Headliners include The Cure, The Strokes, and The Avalanches … and that’s just only beginning. Other noteworthy participants include James Blake, At the Drive-In, Sigur Rós, Flume, Band of Horses, The Kills, Mark Lanegan, Tegan & Sara, Courtney Barnett, Santigold, Leon Bridges, Peter Bjorn and John, The Preatures, Years & Years, Låpsley, Jack Garratt, Jagwar Ma, DMA’s, and Hermitude, among others.
Splendour in the Grass 2016 takes place July 22nd – 24th in Byron Bay, Australia. Tickets are available through the festival’s website.
