Band of Horses are inching closer to the release of their new album, Why Are You OK. Last night, they gave their first late-night performance behind the Jason Lytle-produced record, knocking out an anthemic rendition of single “Casual Party” on Colbert. (They were accompanied onstage by a toothy creature and monkey-like beast — it was rather odd.) As an online bonus, Band of Horses also rattled off LP cut “In a Drawer”.

The Seattle indie rockers may not have been very active since 2012’s Mirage Rock, but one would hardly be able to tell — they still very much know how to make a small room feel like a cavernous arena.

Why Are You OK, one of the year’s most anticipated releases, arrives on June 10th via Interscope.
