Drake performs “One Dance” and “Hype” on Saturday Night Live — watch

Drizzy also delivered a meme-referencing opening monologue and trotted out his best Rihanna impression


Drake promoted his new album Views by pulling double duty as host and musical guest on this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. Drizzy last appeared on SNL in 2014, and he took advantage of his reprise performance to show off some of the moves he’s learned since. He shuffled and strutted alongside two backup dancers while performing Views lead single “One Dance”, then commanded the stage amid fog and falling snow during closing number “Hype”.

Drake also stole the show with his meme-referencing opening monologue, during which he trotted out his best Rihanna impression.

Other skits found Drizzy playing the role of announcer on American Ninja Warrior, rapping about his beefs with various members of the SNL cast, and trying to sell the Republican Party on a presidential candidate with a baby’s body. All in all, it was a pretty hilarious showing for the Canadian superstar.
