By now, you’ve probably noticed Facebook Live is a thing. Your friends are doing it. We’re doing it. So is Jeff Goldblum.
On Wednesday night, the greatest living actor alive hosted a variety show for an hour and a half in an effort to raise cash for Oceana and Conservation International. Naturally, he succeeded, and all with the power of good ol’ fashioned jazz.
A longtime jazz performer, Goldblum was a total natural behind the piano and the mic. We’ve always known he’s a cool cat, but damn if he doesn’t get cooler by each passing night. He even played with The Voice contestant Maiya Sykes.
In between his sultry sounds, the former BrundleFly entertained his dedicated audience with various trivia games, mostly involving Independence Day. Speaking of which, he even made a sandwich for the film’s director Roland Emmerich.
Revisit the whole night below, and then wish, pray, or beg that he comes to your local saloon some day.
Goldblum will next fights aliens again in Independence Day: Resurgence, due out June 24th.
