On Friday, Radiohead debuted “Daydreaming”, a new music video helmed by Academy Award-nominated director Paul Thomas Anderson. In the first 24 hours of its release, upwards of three million paper-eating Radiohead diehards viewed the clip on YouTube. Plenty more will see it in movie theaters this evening, as the band has sent 35mm copies of the video to theaters across the US.

According to a staff member of Alamo Draft House, Anderson overnighted prints of the video, and several theaters will be screening it prior to showings of Captain America: Civil War. Chicago’s The Music Box, which is also screening the video, tweeted a copy of the print. A message on the label reads, “We’ve made a film, here it is. We’d be happy if you played it!”

The cinematic clip finds frontman Thom Yorke walking through a series of doors and passageways which lead him to various, seemingly unconnected destinations (hotel, hospital, laundromat, convenience store, forest, a family’s kitchen). It all culminates in a strange and strangely satisfying closing scene by a fire.
