Stream: Wolf Parade’s new reunion EP

EP 4 marks the Canadian indie rockers' first proper release in six years

Back in January, Wolf Parade reassured fans that 2016 would be the year of their return. The Canadian indie rockers have made good on their word, today releasing EP 4, their first proper collection of new songs since 2010’s Expo 86.

Due out through the band’s own Wolf Parade Productions, the four-track effort includes titles like “Automatic”, “Mr. Startup”, “C’est La Vie Way”, and “Floating World”. It’s the band’s fourth EP to date (hence its name); the last one was released way back in 2005.

In a recent interview with Exclaim, frontman Dan Boeckner explained that the reunion EP wouldn’t exactly be in the same vein as their previous material. “The stuff we’ve been coming up with is pretty different than the stuff we left off on,” he said. “There’s a heavy glam vibe on the new stuff… kinda reminded me of early Queen and The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack.”

Spotify users can stream it in full below.
