Merchandise’s last album was 2014’s After the End, a collection of 10 post-punk growlers that later ended up on our best LPs of the year list. Now, nearly two years later, the Florida outfit is back to preview its follow-up with new song “Flower of Sex”.
According to the band, the gritty and foreboding number is a “summer jam about blood and guts.” Its accompanying video, directed by frontman Carson Cox, was shot in Italy, New York, and Merchandise’s home state and features an array of colorful flowers.
