Pusha T wrote the McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle

Pusha's CV now reads: rapper, G.O.O.D. Music chief, and ... expert jingle writer

Over the last few months, we’ve learned that Pusha T possesses some kickass “Kung Fu” moves, as well as a seat at weekly “Drug Dealers Anonymous” meetings alongside Jay Z. Apparently, the New York rapper also knows a thing or two about cooking up a damn good jingle.

According to Steve Stoute, an employee at the marketing company Transition, Pusha was the brains behind “I’m Lovin’ It”, the catchy McDonald’s ditty which emerged in the early 2000s and has since become synonymous with the fast food chain. “You know who did that? Pusha T,” Stoute said in a recent interview with New York’s Hot 97 radio station (via XXL).

“That’s crazy that Pusha T wrote the song for McDonald’s,” he added. “I can’t remember the money [received]. It was 11 years ago. Nobody was upset.”

Previously, only Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams/The Neptunes were given major credits for the track. I can think of at least two brands that could **really** use Pusha’s prowess.
